. Hi, Iโm Anna, Executive Director of AmEnough Society ๐ค
Long weekends can be a beautiful time to rest but for many newcomers and migrants, they can also feel especially heavy.
These are the moments we often miss our families, our friends, and the sense of familiarity we left behind sometimes by choice, sometimes by necessity. That quiet space can bring up feelings of loneliness, disconnection, and emotional fatigue.
At AmEnough Society, we see you. And you are not alone.
Thanks to the support of the Government of BC, weโve been able to expand our capacity to provide outreach and free mental health counselling to those who need it most.
This long weekend, Iโve personally taken over our WhatsApp, email, and social media DMs so our incredible volunteers can rest and enjoy the break.
If youโre feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or simply need someone to talk to even if itโs just to ask a question or find ways to reconnect with your community, please reach out:
Today, we pause to honour the strength, resilience, wisdom, and quiet sacrifices of women everywhere.
At AmEnough Society, we recognize that women are often the backbone of families and communities. So much of what women give goes unseen ....the encouragement, the listening ear, the mentorship, the sacrifices, and the courage to keep showing up even when the path is not easy.
This year, our reflection for International Womenโs Day is โGive to Gain.โ
A reminder that meaningful change often begins with what we are willing to give. When women give knowledge, opportunities, support, kindness, and leadership, the impact reaches far beyond a single moment it ripples through families, communities, and generations.
Today we celebrate women who build, nurture, lead, teach, and inspire. Women raising the next generation. Women strengthening communities. Women creating spaces where others can rise.

Did you know that oatmeal isnโt just for breakfast? In many homes, itโs also used as a healthier substitute for traditional fufu, offering both nourishment and familiarity in a different form.
A versatile option for families managing health conditions or dietary needs
For many newcomers and migrants, having access to familiar or adaptable foods like oatmeal supports not just physical health, but mental and emotional wellbeing too. Food connects us to home, dignity, and routine.
At AmEnough Society, we accept donations with more intention than explanation. Every item given is purposeful. ๐ Oatmeal is just one of the many culturally appropriate food items that will be distributed.
๐ฟ Tomorrow, Saturday Dec 20thโ Nourish & Flourish Initiative @ 529 Queens Avenue New Westminster from 1pm - 3pm ๐ฟ This is more than a foodbank.

We nourish the body, support the mind, and honour culture โ because wellbeing is holistic, and you are enough ๐

Our Village Square Family Summer BBQ Festival was a beautiful showcase of the rich cultures and ethnicities that make our community so special. From colorful attire to delicious foods, traditional dances, and shared stories โ every moment reflected the power of diversity and togetherness.
This wasnโt just a BBQ; it was a celebration of belonging, mutual respect, and the joy of learning from one another. We laughed, danced, ate, and connected โ proving once again that our differences are what make our community vibrant.
Thank you to every culture represented, every volunteer, and every guest who brought their energy and spirit. Together, we are building a community where everyone feels seen, valued, and at home.
We, the volunteers of AmEnough Society, are beyond proud to stand behind a leader like ๐๐ป๐ป๐ฎ โ a woman who doesnโt just plan our programs and events, but births movements that leave a lasting impact.

โจ Truly inclusive event where everyone belonged โ from newcomers to long-time residents, across all ages and backgrounds. It celebrated cultural diversity, encouraged honest conversations about mental health, and promoted anti-racism through education and connection. With over 40 people trained in naloxone use, the festival also empowered the community to respond to the opioid crisis with compassion and readiness. A powerful gathering that honored our shared humanity and created a safe, welcoming space for all
We still donโt know how ๐๐ป๐ป๐ฎ manages to do all she does โ but what we do know is that her heart for the people and community is real. Her passion is unwavering. She leads with humility, strength, and vision. And thatโs why we stand with her ๐ฟ
