Community Mental Health Support &
Service
Because mental health matters — every person, every story.
We offer compassionate, trauma-informed mental health care and community-based services that address the unique needs of refugees, immigrants, and underserved groups. Our programs include peer-to-peer support, access to culturally sensitive therapists, mental health education workshops, and one-on-one counseling. We empower individuals to prioritize their emotional well-being and navigate life transitions with resilience and dignity.
Food Security
Program
Nourishing bodies, strengthening hope.
Food is more than nourishment—it’s stability, dignity, and hope. Through our Compassion Basket Initiative, we provide essential grocery support, culturally appropriate food items, and community food drives for vulnerable families and individuals. We work closely with food banks and partner organizations to combat food insecurity in refugee and migrant communities.
Community Engagement Events &
Programs
Creating connections that uplift and empower.
We create inclusive spaces where marginalized voices are heard, celebrated, and empowered. Our community engagement programs promote mental wellness, social integration, cultural celebration, and advocacy. From healing circles to storytelling events and integration workshops, we bring people together to foster belonging and support.
What We Do
Our Services
SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN OF MIGRANTS & REFUGEES
We provide emotional, educational, and settlement support for children of immigrants and refugees. Through mentoring and trauma-informed care, we help them adapt, belong, and grow.
SUPPORT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Our programs provide mental wellness support, housing guidance, and community integration services for international students. We empower them to thrive both academically and socially as they build their future in Canada.
SUPPORT FOR LGBQT2S+
We champion safe spaces, peer-led support, and community education to uplift LGBTQ2S+ individuals, especially those facing intersectional challenges as newcomers or immigrants. Everyone deserves to belong.
SUPPORT FOR SUBTANC ABUSE & ADDICTION
Our compassionate recovery programs support individuals battling addiction and substance misuse. We combine therapy, peer support, and holistic wellness practices to restore dignity, rebuild lives, and foster long-term healing.
UNLOCKING THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT OF THE VILLAGE
In everything we do, we bring to life the “Spirit of the Village,” a state of being, a feeling, and a way of life. It’s a journey of friendship, healing and forgiveness, with the purpose of bringing harmony to the human, natural and spiritual community. Our approach is to intentionally combine the caring and nurturing essence of African cultures and traditions with history and social studies through traditional dances, stories, songs and music of Africa.
With guidance from Elders, Griots, Artists, and Knowledge Keepers, we create a caring and open village-like environment where our community, staff, volunteers, partners and collaborators are invited to come together in friendship and enjoy the transmission of traditional knowledge through foundational and meaningful teachings that promote the health and wellbeing of the village.
