Cultural Food Security Program - Nourish & Flourish Initiative

Cultural Food Security Program

The Nourish and Flourish Initiative is AmEnough Society’s flagship food security program. We understand that food is more than nutrition—it’s identity, comfort, and connection. That’s why Nourish and Flourish provide culturally appropriate food items that reflect the diverse backgrounds of newcomers and refugees.

Monthly Cultural Food Bank:

Each month, we host a themed food distribution event featuring culturally familiar food staples that promote inclusion and dignity.

Weekly Drop-In Food Bank

Every Thursday at our community location — 529 Queens Avenue, New Westminster, BC — individuals and families can access fresh, nutritious foods and engage in a supportive community space.

In partnership with Kula Foods, we ensure that our food support includes plant-based and nutrient-rich items, promoting both cultural awareness and healthy living.

Beyond food distribution, the Nourish and Flourish Initiative also incorporates mental health check-ins, ensuring that participants not only receive physical nourishment but also emotional and psychological support.
